         For older individuals, masturbation continues to be a healthy and often beneficial activity. It can be a way to maintain sexual health, relieve stress, and explore one’s sexuality, especially if they are single, have a partner with differing sexual needs, or are experiencing physical limitations that impact partnered sex.

         There are generally no specific physical risks associated with masturbation for older adults. In fact, it can contribute to overall well-being and sexual satisfaction throughout life. The only potential “risks” might be related to pre-existing medical conditions where excessive physical exertion is advised against, but this is rare and usually applies to other forms of physical activity as well. 

In summary, masturbation is a lifelong, healthy sexual outlet with no inherent age-related risks when practiced safely and privately.
