The Last Train Out:
Arjun was tired after a long day at work. He reached the station just as the last train of the night arrived. The platform was empty, and the train looked old and quiet. He stepped inside and sat near the window.
At first, there were a few other passengers. A woman with a red scarf, a man reading a newspaper, and two students whispering to each other. The train moved forward, faster than usual.
After some time, Arjun noticed something strange. The woman with the red scarf was gone. Her seat was empty, but he had not seen her leave. He looked around, confused.
Minutes later, the man with the newspaper disappeared too. The pages of his paper lay on the seat, but the man was nowhere. The students stopped whispering. They looked scared. Then, one by one, they also vanished.
Arjun’s heart pounded. He stood up and walked to the conductor. The conductor was tall, with a pale face and cold eyes.
“Where are the passengers going?” Arjun asked.
The conductor smiled slowly. “This train never stops,” he said. “Once you board, you belong to it.”
Arjun tried to open the door, but it was locked. The windows showed only darkness outside. The train sped faster, as if flying through endless night.
He turned back to his seat. It was empty now. His own reflection in the window began to fade. He realized the truth—he was vanishing too.
The train rushed forward, carrying no passengers, only shadows. And it never stopped.
